Speaking in a press conference at Siliguri Journalist Club on 28th March, the founder and MD of SI Surgical Mr. Sanjay Mukherjee reported that the company started its journey in the year 2006 with small trading and only 5 workforce from a 40 square feet showroom . Gradually, he realized the necessity of manufacturing unit to facilitate import of medical equipment’s in Bengal from outside states. With a robust confidence he established 200 square feet manufacturing hub in Kolkata and flourished his business
Having 25000 square feet display showroom, manufacturing Unit and 800 employees at present, the Company extended its business area in 34 foreign countries and almost all states of India for exporting medical equipment.
By establishing medical equipment mall at Chunavati, near Siliguri, SI Surgical will generate 35 / 40 employment at present in one hand and will be able to supply cost-effective healthcare instruments of international standard for the entire north east India, Nepal & Bhutan on the other. Like Siliguri, the Company already opened a Medical Unit in Bhubaneshwar two years ago and intended to establish a Manufacturing Unit nearby Siliguri with a investment of 500 million INR within next two years concluded Mr. Mukherjee
